2021 Wedding Bouquet Trends

After a year of postponements and uncertainty, 2021 is shaping up to be the year to say I do. Flowers have always been a large part of wedding decorations and will continue to be this year. We are seeing brides setting some gorgeous trends and letting go of the more traditional floral arrangements, in favour of attention-grabbing ceremony floral arrangements, lavish backdrops and oversized bouquets. Here are some of our favourite trends we’ve seen so far this year.

Hanging installations have been big for some time and can be a striking addition to your wedding reception. However, in 2021 we are seeing a rise of large grounded floor and wall designs. Gone are the days of scattered rose petals, the modern bride is creating aisle ‘meadows’ are very on trend this year. As couples are enhancing the walk down the aisle with more extravagant creations to create that ‘insta’ perfect walk as husband and wife and guest photos as well.

Oversized Florals

Bigger is better, has never been more on-trend.  As weddings become smaller and more intimate, brides are becoming more creative and extravagant with their bouquets. This trend has been around a while, and we’re not seeing it go away any time soon. Once reserved for vintage and rustic wedding styles, dried flowers and greenery are becoming the norm at bohemian, minimalistic and even classic aesthetics. Dried flowers can be mixed with fresh flowers to add colour and texture to your bouquet. Or large arrangements of dried palm leaves and delicate florals for a striking statement piece at your ceremony.
